Here is where you can find the bonus question for this unit. You can place your answer by clicking on the comment section of this post. Remember to put your first name and class period to your post so that I know who to give credit to. Bonus points are awarded as follows..... 1pt if you give the question some sort of serious answer. 2 pts if you answer it with some depth of thought and meaning above what was mentioned in class or in other's comments. 3 pts if you do the above and make a compelling argument with references to outside research. Good luck.
One day prokarotes and eukaryotes were having a debate as to which of them were the superior cell type. Join the argument as either a prokaryote or eukaryote and debate why you are the superior cellular life form.

I think that we should adopt the metric system. For one it is alot easier then the U.S. system. The metric system counts by ten. U.S. system is just different numbers that you have to remeber. Metric system is fast and you dont have to do that much work. U.S. system you have to write it out then times or diveded the problem. That is why I think that we should adopt the Metric System then use the U.S. system.

ReplyDeleteSo you are probably thinking that im going to make a huge speech with big, extravigant words. Well im not. Why? The metric system is to simple therefore does not need a huge explanation. It's easier in my opinion simply because it's based upon multiples of ten whereas the nonmetric system measures by 12, and 3? That's just making your own life harder. Also with the metric system their label's are easier to remember because according the U.S.M.A. or U.S. metric association all the prefixes remain the same with all units of measure inccluding mass, length, and volume. So in conclusion switch to the metic system because it's easier to add upp and you will never forget the different units.

I think the most important ones would be the ones in the organic classification. I think this because they seem to be giving more energy, because muscles need to use more energy that they provide.

I think what happend is the nitrogen somehow got into the stream and now the nitrogen is taking the place of the air witch means there is not enough air for the trouts that is why they re dying.
ReplyDeleteRyan period 1
i think the fertilizer harmed the fish in the stream because, the nitrogen compounds took over the water mollecules and would not allow the oxygen to flow through the fish gills wich the fish could not breath in which killin the trout.

the trout are dying because the nitrogen is from decayed dead animals, in form of nitrates and nitrites. It causes the ammonia and bacteria content to go up in the tank which in high enough concentrations can kill off the fish. In E3 the fish got caught in the filter and was releasing nitrate and nitrite in the tank killing off all the fish except 1. so thats why nitrogen is killing the trout in the stream. Shawn M period 1
ReplyDeleteI as a eukaryote cell, i have a nucleus and a prokaryote doesnt.I have DNA functions in my nucleus. Which a prokaryote doesnt have.
